December 20, 2022 · 164 words

It was a cloudy miserable day, rain and hail pouring down hard like glass shards.. Everyone in the hallway stopped as he rushed in completely drenched.“What’s going on? Do I have something on my face?” He opened his camera app, flipped the camera and checked himself out. “Nope, just plain old me, so why am  getting these looks?”He headed for class. A voice shouts through the intercom:” Greg Wilson, please report to the principal’s office.” As he walked in, Mrs.Nowicki politely waved him in. Principal Hughes got up from his desk and greeted him warmly. “How strange” he thought, “he’s never that nice to anyone”. “Please take a seat. I’m afraid I have terrible news”. Greg quickly interrupted “I knew something was wrong. What happened?” I’m afraid you’re going to have to…Aaaaghhhhh! Greg wakes up in a cold sweat. He reaches for his phone, there are two missed calls and one text. It says: “ There was an accident earlier this evening….Please call me back“.
