The idea of life

Life…what is it?

I mean what is life exactly? Is there a real definition? I guess everyone has their own interpretation.

I struggle so does everyone, in their own way. That’s the joy of life, the fight, the journey to wherever one ends up. See, many of us are so fixated on the end result we miss the best part, the learning process the road to get where we are going.

In my opinion the reason our souls inhabit these bodies, the ‘why’ we are here is to evolve as a being on this beautiful planet we are quickly destroying.

Think about what you are doing, on a day to day basis, what do you do for yourself that saves the planet and  makes the world a better place? How many things do you do to the contrary? get the picture?

We are survivors because we are selfish and resourceful, but we need to be more adaptable and selfless, like a tree in the forest. We need to be part of an ecosystem not come in and ruin it.

Why are we detroying the ‘lung’ of the world, the amazon rain forrest? And for what?

We are our own worst enemy.

We alone have the power to change this, as a race we need a deep change within(meditation helps). Letting go and embracing life with both body and mind.

Caring for ourselves and also for your fellow man, and not squabble over religious or political ideologies, color of skin. We need to embrace the beauty of diversity.

We are one race with many creeds and beliefs…the human race.

Let’s work together.

‘the future belongs to those who believe in the beauty of their dreams’
Eleanor Roosevelt.

Dreams are a most valuable commodity.

They drive us forward, motivate us, along the winding road that is life.

Our dreams are a positive goal to look forward to, not the finish line but a stage to get to, because life only stops with death.  New dreams develop to keep us motivated, to keep us going forward in our development as human beings.

Having a dream is necessary for our evolution. Every human being should have something to look forward to, something to thrive for, otherwise we have no reason to even be in this world.  I believe that in all the things that happen to us in this world there is  a lesson to be learned.

We possess free will, our most sacred god given right, so sometimes we make bad decisions. These usually spawn in an attempt to cut corners or speed up our ascent towards our objective.

We must not give up on our dreams. They can adapt to current circumstances or even change into something unexpected. One never knows. The key is to follow them with all your heart and no matter what happens you won’t be disappointed, because you’ll know you gave it your all. Don’t give them up.

Coming to terms with Who I am.

This is a life long struggle. Everyday I have to improve my self love. Maybe this sounds strange, cause you’re thinking: I love myself, I’m confident, I like the way I look or not, and so on a so forth. But I’m talking about something different, deep within ourselves is where we find Who we are. It’s not what I do for a living, what I own, what I look like, it’s that little voice that only talks to you when your mind is silent. People who conquer that voice are said to be enlightened. Gandhi, Mother Theresa of Calcutta…It’s a league most people think unattainable, but its not. We all have the potential to reach this state of enlightenment, some easier than others, but I tell you it’s the biggest challenge you’ll ever face. Opening your mind is the first step, meditation a very important tool for progress along with disciplining your mind, not allowing it to boss you around with useless thoughts, critiques, constantly judging others,(doing everything in its power to keep the Ego alive) and taking your attention away from where it should be, on yourself. This is not rocket science, I’ll say this ‘If you don’t love yourself, nobody else will.’ This is a fact. Most people keep searching for things outside themselves, like a partner, this usually means they’re not comfortable enough in their own skin so they feel lonely, and so jump into bad, sometimes abusive relationships, living through the other person, or trying to change them to the image they have of the perfect person for them. You can only change yourself! You can only help others by example. I can tell you one thing for sure, the right place to find whatever you think is missing in yourself, that will bring you happiness, is inside yourself. No amount of money, people, professional fulfillment can give you that, some of it helps because it can clear your mind somewhat but its never enough. You have to accept your reality be always true to yourself no matter what, and look inside be brave, You will be rewarded. It takes courage, an open mind, discipline and a lot of hard work but it is worth it. Just a good thought to everyone out there who cares to read it.
